Can’t deny it, Polaroid cameras are so much fun. Instant gratification! Also, it turns out that the camera is a great car ramp:)

Hard to miss the sound of the garbage truck, no matter the time of day.
Sick day at home! Meryl started feeling congested with a cough yesterday and in ordinary times, we’d assume it was a cold - but we are in no ordinary times. So, both kids hung out at home today and we all got COVID tests and are awaiting the results before heading back to school. The tests weren’t as painful as I was expecting…but, the start-and-stop of the waiting line to the drive-through testing site made Meryl motion sick and her snack of pineapples and pretzels came back up and added an eau de parfum no one was expecting:) Kids.
Introducing, FaceTime hide and seek! Meryl and Xanna hide together around the house and Holmes finds them:)
Vehicle World is Holmes’ world.
Yep, they’re all here. Hey, not everyone at a gym is there to workout, right? See the scene, be the scene.
Leg day! Gotta get ready for skiing and snowboarding season!
Lummi’s first dog show! Reading about Amelia Bedelia in a dog show inspired Meryl to host one of her own. Unfortunately with the virus, friends and dogs couldn’t join us physically, but that didn’t stop Meryl from assembling a FaceTime audience! Xanna cheered and our neighbor Margot and her dog, Lucy, joined in the fun. We had lots of brushing and deciding on necklaces for Lummi to wear throughout the day. And, Meryl wore a hot dog sticker as the director of the show:)
Holmes LOVES roasted broccoli, but just the florets:) Vegetables, we’re in full support!
Happy Friday!
Meryl was brushing her hair tonight, but we couldn’t find her toy hand mirror so she could admire her great style. Not to worry as she then said, “Dada, we could use your phone!” Selfie view, you’re so useful!
Requested dance songs included Rihanna’s “Disturbia” (otherwise known as “Bom-Bom-Bee-Dom”) and Raffi’s “Bananaphone”…very a-peeling:)
The wind picked up this afternoon, so we stopped by the beach to see the waves at high tide after preschool. Yep, preschool is open and we are all thrilled! (And, it seems that we’ve still got some smoke moving through. Blow wind, blow!)
