Speaking of hair.
Crawling up the water spout…while the two loungers anchor the spout down:)
The kids in Meryl’s classroom are growing plants this year…and now we have one less plant to forget to water at home!
Let the day begin!
I was monitor stalking last night and noticed Frank trying to convince Meryl to wear her Chuck Taylor shoes tomorrow.
Meryl: Who’s Chuck Taylor?
Frank: A basketball player from a long time ago.
Meryl: So he died?
And to our surprise, she wanted to wear them this morning! It was worth a dance:)
It all started with Frank and our previous dog, Feta, and has now extended to Lummi and the kids. When you’ve got fly kicks, you’ve gotta show them off!
We cooked a lot this weekend!
Lola’s zucchini garden is prolific and Lorraine sent us a recipe for zucchini meatballs…so, aprons on! We also read that you can freeze shredded and drained zucchini to use later, and into the freezer it went! Note Meryl’s glasses - without lenses - to protect her eyes from the onions:)
We appear to have shredded more than zucchini this weekend.
Fun times with Tito! Or ‘To as Holmes calls him these days:) Holmes is trying to say lots of words and single syllables are his jam.
She turned two today, if only we could all turn time like Bunny. Really, we got these cute little fish-shaped soy sauce dispensers from our takeout this week and Meryl had to use them - the red and yellow capped ones made the orange cake (get it?) and the other ‘two’ served as candles (get it?).
Someone’s a big kid! Four year old doctor’s appointment today and Meryl got to wear a gown backwards, took a hearing test and got a few vaccines…hello bandaids! All good.
Elmo surfaced this evening and Holmes was so excited to see his ‘baby.’
When the prep is more fun than the grand event. Meryl made dinner, and neither kid ate any of it:) To quote our pediatrician, he’s never seen a kid voluntarily go hungry. We quote him often!
Meryl’s salon opened last night, but as I asked to book an appointment for myself, I found out that it’s only open on Tuesdays. So, until next week.
