Lummi went to the spa too:)
This little fella had a rough day feeling a bit under the weather. The only thing he wanted was cuddles and I was happy to oblige.
Well, with his birthday is six days after Meryl’s, it will forever be second tier. So we spaced out our partying and festivated with foie gras birthday cake at a new restaurant on the hill. We’re already ready to go back!
They’re growing!
McKenzie and Boomer just moved to Seattle! And McKenzie brought pictures of Honey Buckets with her:)
And stood the whole time. That’s really all that needs to be said. Maggie Rogers was great!
“Grandpa, watch this!”
Exploring the dance studio during class is all fun and games, but when Teacher Anna says, “stickers,” dancing means business for Meryl!
(Thanks, Sasha, for the ‘washable’ nail polishes. Genius!)
And, apple picking. Afternoon snack, and baked for dessert tonight!
Also, our kitchen has turned into a homemade foam (ahem, pillow) pit.
Last week, amidst the fluid schedule at Meryl’s school, we got out early with our day at the Woodland Park Zoo and Parfait Ice Cream. And a visit to Metropolitan Market. Where they had these kid-sized shopping carts. Which Meryl quickly commandeered.
Yup, we have that many of them, thanks to Xanna! Meryl loooves bandaids. Plus, the ‘treat’ of putting bandaids on her thumbs curbs her thumb-sucking. Stop on by for a bandaid if you’re in need of one, we got you covered…for years to come:)
We had a very impressive lightening storm last night!
Second week, and spending an hour investigating all corners of a dance studio, sometimes dancing, is still the most draining activity of her three year old life.
A three year old! Continuing the trend, Meryl checked-in to see the doctor and checked-out exceptionally normal. Only this time, the doctor checked her eyes…with an iPhone! Turns out there’s an app that takes a picture of kids’ eyes using the camera’s flash to bounce light off the back of the retina, then it detects the pupil location, runs an algorithm, and tests for common eye diseases. Crazy!
