Another year of joining with our neighbors, Melody and Paul, to burn our marshmallow wreaths and send our New Year’s intentions up in the sweet, sweet smelling smoke.
Where you can eat snow and be a snowball target at the same time.
Why walk on the actual path when you can tromp through snow?
Down we go!
The kids could have tubed for hours. Us parents only had so many hill climbs in us:) What a fun winter use for the golf driving range!
I think it’s safe to say that Meryl and Holmes like hot chocolate for the…whipped cream. And in actuality, they probably would just prefer whipped cream with a little chocolate:)
After doing the same activity sheet over and over for lunch and dinner, she made her own.
Waiting for food is hard.
OUTSIDE! We braved the literal wind blowing cold weather elements to venture into the outdoor pool…which was not heated as warm as we expected!
Xanna’s view from the balcony! That good idea of ours to escape the not warm pool and head to the hot tub was foiled because it was COLD! And then the kids stayed up till 11:30pm pretending to be pet hamsters because it turns out polar bear plunges do indeed release endorphins. Fun Fact: Meryl named her hamster self Rolly and Holmes named himself…Sweetie. Kids.
…it is to ride in a two horse open sleigh, hey!
Can you believe each one of these horses (Doug and Roman) weigh 2,200 pounds? That’s a car weight each! They also each eat 50 lbs of food…a day. A hot to trot finale to our trip!
Real live professional dancers are awe inspiring, topped with a cool set design, and Meryl humming along to the songs:)
Fans making fans and ladies on pointe!
