With the world’s largest hot chocolate tank underneath filling all of our holiday happiness!
Look at these sweet, sweet angels who are always on their best behavior:) Now to head home to see Xanna!
Check-up at the dentist this morning! And Meryl has a six-year molar growing in…that we know is there thanks to the X-Ray!
We got to visit Meryl’s classroom today! As a holiday craft activity, Lola created parols for Meryl and her classmates to decorate. Parols are a Filipinx star shaped ornamental lantern displayed during the Christmas season. We watched a Disney short film on the tradition of making parols at Christmas time and then got our crafting on! Afterwards, the three of us walked out with the kids on their way to recess and just stood on the sidewalk smiling:) Such a fun!
(To see the video, search YouTube: Filipino, parol, Disney, and Christmas.)
Meryl started sneezing yesterday, so she stayed home today from school, got tested (she’s one week from being fully vaccinated!), and found herself performing ‘Show Yourself.’ Lucky me, I got to play the role of Elsa’s Mom and resurrect my French braiding skills (this time traveling around her head)…to which she then unravelled, because that’s what Elsa does:)
(She’ll be at school tomorrow.)
We joined (rather crashed) our neighbor Melody’s marshmallow wreath making party and made it out with an actual creation!
Holmes ate approximately 42,567 marshmallows and Meryl closed out with about 35,963 reaching her belly. Us parents…we survived:)
So much for dinner!
Frank and Holmes went to a big Lego exhibit in town, fun times!
They still exist! They look the same. And they’re absolutely great!
And to celebrate, we all tried the novel concept of eating dinner out at a restaurant…which literally meant eating outside at a restaurant in the cold, wind, and rain. We did it! Happy Birthday, Lola!
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
