Change in season

Yeeeah, here we go. The boys caught a bit of a cold so Holmes stayed home from school today and the three of us went to get COVID tests. It is so nice that Seattle has several free PCR testing sites with quick results turnaround times. That also means that we get them often to reduce risk variables…or at least to clear the optics of symptoms.

Ladies who lunch

Remembering back to the short kindergarten day during Meryl’s first week of school, and with Xanna in town we lunched! It was such a treat.

Setting the mood

We went from sun and 78-degrees yesterday to downpours today. And with less sunlight these days, we’re turning on lights. Holmes loves to light up a room, in more ways than one!

The gymnast

The gym thoughtfully swapped the bleachers and bacteria ridden toddler play area (you’re welcome, Holmes) in favor of masks, a warehouse of open windows, and live streaming cameras. No parents allowed! Next up, trying to get a screenshot from the camera view:)

Costumes and science

We went to a real birthday party! So far, and for us included, birthday parties have been a limited affair. So many plans and so many cancellations. Nobody knows what to do. Well, today took the cake and gave all the feels, while outdoors and masked up. Costumes, melting frozen hands with salt to find treasure, homemade lava lamps…it was scientifferrific!

Thems the breaks

Yet another wishbone, and yet another wish for Holmes! Meryl sooooo wants the bigger half and her wish to be granted…and it never seems to break in her favor. More roast chicken! And, congratulations Holmes! We hope your wishes all come true:)
