Morning hike at The Petrified Forest in search of tree rocks. Because trees rock, thanks to Mount Saint Helena erupting many moons ago spreading ash across the valley creating a ripe environment for 3D fossil preservation. That’s one huge earth toot!
Fresh squeezed orange juice!
Opened, closed, light inside, dark inside, snacks inside…the magic of the cabinet.
Bank Board meeting day, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star had to be sung across the Internet:)
And air conditioning. (I kind of never want to give up quiet time.)
Proof of my lung capacity!
PJ morning with Xanna at the vineyard: a lizard drinking water, bugs galore, checking out the apple trees where Eater the bear hangs out, and sheep eating grass and weeds!
Xanna’s version of snack time is a bit different, chocolate milk! Vacation:)
Yep. No need for a frequency check or to turn the walkie-talkie on, everrryone can hear Meryl:)
Inflatable (or inflated?) impulse purchasing at the hardware store! Who are we kidding, is there even a parent scoreboard? Let’s not forget the six-foot inflatable alligator that’s half blown up…we’ll see if it makes it into the pool before my lungs give out.
Coming to a new Lawer Estates website near you! Kids, a dog, sweating cheese in the heat, first time paying attention to our clothes in over a year, thinking about how to smile naturally while smiling naturally…we did it! Now for the editing magic:)
‘Cool’ entertainment during the photo shoot…and then Meryl wanted to put all the ice cubes back in the freezer, because they were melting:) That’s the point!
Or…a found activity that is far more interesting than sitting still at a restaurant table waiting for food and calmly discussing the day:) Holmes can’t stop saying, [Cali] “stoga.” I think he’s enjoying himself.
We have gotten into a pattern of watching women compete on American Ninja Warrior as our nighttime settling down activity. It’s so fun to cheer for the competitors when they make it to the end of the course! Meryl’s favorite obstacle is the ‘salmon ladder.’
