We acquired (by imagination) a second pool this afternoon. First being our blue kiddie pool, and now this brown wonder. All the more exciting when you get to show it off to Xanna:)

Shirts off to a sunny weekend! Let’s just say eating outside offers a lots of distractions:) Thank you, Lola, for creating the “pit stop” style of eating…she puts together a bite and the kids swoop through for a mouthful on their way to do something else.
We capped a sunny Friday with a walk with Grandpa!
We learned lots about Grandpa’s walker and wheelchair:)
Holmes quite enjoyed hanging out with Grandpa and getting his back scratched. Grandpa enjoyed it too:)
Well, Lummi one-upped Grandpa by swallowing a sock. Thanks to peroxide, we got her to throw it up. And the kids decided running up and down Margy’s driveway was the perfect way to pass time while we were waiting. (Thanks, Margy!)
Might as well practice swimming in the tub with blowing bubbles amidst bubbles.
Holmes has been ‘eyeing’ Meryl’s bike and with Meryl moving into two-wheel riding confidence, we scored a hand-brake bike at our little ski-store-now-bike-store down the hill…bike supply chains have been disrupted this past year, so we jumped at the opportunity to get an already built ready to ride bike before the summer! (Plus, after an intense career of searching vaccine waitlists, celebrating by cutting short a next career of searching for bikes seemed fitting.) Also, who is this two-and-a-half year old kid who wants to ride a bike? Slow down!
Not quite confident, but practicing!
We did it! We got them! Second vaccine dose shots in arms!
Sushi dinner anniversary night celebratory photo…bombed by Meryl at the last moment:)
From Meryl: “We are eating sushi, and I am devouring salmon eggs, and Holmes is eating.”
While working through our wedding playlist, “YMCA” played, which reminded Tito of how he spells out MERYL on the sidewalk below her bedroom window when he leaves in the evening, which inspired Tito and Meryl to spell HOLMES!
A bouldering path…and, Darth Vader’s legs.
Six years in and it’s pretty great! Sushi takeout dinner, champagne, and the soundtrack to our wedding night…pandemic partying pandemonium!
Thanks, Xanna, Sasha, and Lisa for alllll the consulting and searching fun!
