Overcompensating? Totally! Also, we’re saving him from himself with a calm activity:)

We’re yet again deep diving into Hamilton and we’re totally OK with it! Bonus, it’s a great morning soundtrack to jumpstart the day. Meryl loves saying, “What time is it?…SHOWTIME!”
He’s just hanging out stacking jars on the dining room table before school. And pretty proud about it too:)
With Xanna!
Why do they have to grow again? Holmes escaped his room tonight and was all too proud about it:) That, and his now nightly request to sit on the toilet (success once so far!) and tonight’s ask to take a shower. Who is this kid? Meryl is all too happy to show him the ropes (lucky, Holmes!)…though, her ropes these days include plotting escape plans with her friends at pickup from school (parental plans hold no weight anymore).
“I’m camouflaged.”
That moment when all her stalling tactics concluded in hilarity and it just didn’t matter anymore because we’re so proud she’s learning…and well, these kids growing might be OK in the end.
A digger scooping a digger!
A favorite baker of ours, Christina Tosi, came out with a kids book and we had to try it out. Meryl chose Rocky Road Cereal Squares, and they are good!
Well, why not? Dinner, wine, table for two (at the kids table minus the kids)…first meal we’ve had together at a leisurely pace in a while!
Reading with Xanna! How lucky, the Caribu app offers Spanish books too so Xanna can practice her Spanish:) (AKA Meryl’s choice in books.)
